  • Avoid anything that may create a spark.
  • Open doors and windows where safe.

  • Do not enter a cellar or basement where gas may be present.

Emergency first, remedial work later

Who handles each stage?

Active or suspected gas emergency

Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately. Nebula is not the National Gas Emergency Service and this website is not an emergency-reporting channel.

Later appliance or installation work

After the emergency service has made the situation safe, separate remedial work may need an appropriately qualified Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not contact Nebula instead of making the emergency call.
